Overview
The Diploma of Nursing (also referred to as an Enrolled Nurse course) is the minimum qualification required to become an Enrolled Nurse (EN) in the Australian healthcare system. An EN works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and has typically more hands-on responsibilities. A nursing diploma will teach you the advanced skills needed to perform tasks such as clinical assessment, administering treatment plans, and general patient care.
A Diploma of Nursing can be studied at universities, TAFE, or at a hospital-based Registered Training Organisation (RTO) such as the Mater in Queensland.
