The government offers a number of ways for you to support your studies, the most common of which is a student loan. However, accumulating a massive debt, doesn’t need to be the only option. TQEH Research Foundation Postgraduate Research ScholarshipApplicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents, or overseas students holding a valid student visa, be medical or dental graduates eligible for registration in South Australia, or an appropriately qualified science graduates or health professionals eligible for enrolment in a university higher degree, be undertaking a master or doctoral degree as full-time students, and negotiate a research training place and an appropriate supervisor within a TQEH Department. Henzell Rural and Remote Nursing BursaryApplicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens, Australian permanent residents or permanent humanitarian visa holders, be full-time or part-time students enrolled in the third year of a Bachelor of Nursing Science/Bachelor of Midwifery, and be undertaking a clinical placement in a rural or remote location. Coal and Allied Community Development Fund ScholarshipApplicants must be enrolled in any year of an undergraduate degree or enabling program (Yapug, Open Foundation or Newstep) at the University of Newcastle, have completed high school or secondary college at a secondary institution based in Singleton, Muswellbrook or the Upper Hunter, be enrolled full-time (part-time allowable for Open Foundation students), Demonstrate academic progress either by an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or equivalent of a pass level or higher, or a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0.
